The hotel, staff, breakfast and location of this hotel are all superb. The staff went above and beyond to help us. Our room had an amazing view from the huge balcony that we enjoyed every evening. Breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was our first visit to Lisbon- and we weren’t disappointed! Small and friendly hotel, near the castle with great views over the city. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of continental fruit, pasties, cereal and bacon/eggs/mushroom. Although the hotel is quite high up there is a lift about 5 minutes walk away that brings you up 7 floors. The hotel room was comfortable and we had a large balcony, which was lovely. Although the hotel doesn’t serve dinner there are some great local restaurants on the door step - in particular Gosta do Castelo was Excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for the third time on a recent trip to Lisbon. It is as good as ever. We were in and out of Lisbon twice on our recent trip, and had two different rooms, both with king beds, one with balcony and one without, and both excellent. Both rooms were large and nicely appointed. The beds are wonderful. Overly soft mattresses can give both of us back pain, and the mattresses were nicely firm without being too hard. Very comfortable. Both rooms we stayed in were large, had nice bathrooms with tubs, and great views. There is a good breakfast. Staff is wonderfully helpful and very friendly. Some reviewers complain about it being up a hill (you wouldn't get the great views if it wasn't!), but if you don't want to walk up the hill, various trams stop very close by and there is a elevator that from the lower town that is very close to the hotel. It is a short walk to Graca, which has wonderful restaurants, making it convenient for nice evening dining. Highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel situated under the castle ( bear in mind a lot of steps)staff friendly & super efficient with extra help on tourist spots where to go & good local restaurants. Our room was clean & comfortable & the bed was fine for us. Breakfast was excellent & a great start to the day for your site seeing .many thanks for the hotel for a fantastic trip

Had a great stay here a few months ago. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were checked in early which was great. Good location in the old town, near to plenty of restaurants. Quite a climb up from the main square, the lift wasn’t working during our stay so plenty of walking! Comfy and spacious room, nice outside patio area. Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice.
